The final views in the story “Top Gears Watch Collectors in the Age of the Internet”.

I shot a few from the collection of Mike with his, Greg Stevens GSD 1A,  Italo Fontano U-BOAT, and a Brietling. But what caught my eye was his Zenith with the most interesting strap made from Stingray leather. Something I will be looking for my own dive watch.

Look for the article written by Editor/Writer Doug Sparks in the latest issue of Merrimack Valley Magazine this month.

Artist Bruce Wood of the Glass Ingot allowed me to photograph one of his prized works of art “Rosie” this past summer.

I loved the use of recycled items to produce a  jet pack and all the accouterments for a beautiful Steampunk Rocketeer.

Bruce recently said on his Facebook site “My sculpture “Rosie the Rocketeer” will be in an essay for The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s upcoming exhibition catalog”.

Word for Our Time with Artist Susan Gaylord

Working with artist, calligrapher, presenter Susan Kapuscinski Gaylord. I had the pleasure to have Susan in my studio earlier in the year to photograph a series of prints she made with a very special message in this time of twitter blast and fake news. But I will let her books introduction explain it all:

Words have always been my ballast and my anchor. I believe in their power. While I understand the saying “actions speak louder than words,” I believe that words can be where actions start. Throughout history, words have provided the spark to begin change and the sustenance to carry it through.

Words For Our Time is a series of artworks based on eight words: strength, hope, truth, peace, justice, love, courage, and compassion. Each was created from one large sheet of paper that was torn into separate sections. After the writing was complete, the pieces were sewn back together in an act of healing as I mended the torn paper and made it whole. They remind us of what is important in our personal and civic lives and provide encouragement and support in these difficult times.
