Birke’s Clothing Lowell MA

Posted in Editorial, Personal, Portrait by harkinsphoto on August 22, 2010

Recently I came across some views from Birke’s Clothing store in Lowell MA that I did for my friend Szifra Birke http://www.birkeconsulting.com/.
In the last days of closing the store in 2004 I was able to roam around and get an opportunity to photograph store owner Sally Birke.

Check out a trailer by Eric Sacks on his video about the final days of Birke’s at this link http://player.vimeo.com/video/11463335

    Hi Kevin,
What a great picture of Birke’s and my mom. Flashback to 2004 when you came to Birke’s and spent hours shooting every nook and cranny of all 5 floors. I love those photos. Thank you for bringing the memories back, Kevin and of course, thank you for your great expertise capturing the images in an interesting and vital way.

    Best to you,
    Szifra
